ENBW BALTIC 2

BALTIC SEA, 32 KM NORTH OF THE ISLAND OF RÜGEN

EnBW Baltic 2

EnBW Baltic 2 has significantly larger dimensions than EnBW’s first windfarm in the Baltic Sea, Baltic 1.  The planning and logistical challenges faced during installation of the wind farm were considerably greater. Installed in the most challenging soil conditions while using two types of foundations -Jackets and Monopiles-  the EnBW Baltic 2 offshore windpark has wind turbines that are almost a third larger than those at Baltic 1. With an area that covers 27 km2, EnBW’s Baltic 2 offshore wind farm can generate an annual yield of around 1.2 billion kWh means that the wind farm can supply an aggregate of around 340.000 households per year and thus save around 900.000 tons of CO₂ emissions.

EOS Maritime proudly contributed to the succes of the Baltic 2 offshore wind farm installation by supplying EnBW with key positions in the Installation- and Construction management in the Foundation and Internal Array Grid packages.
